WK HENDERSON

WK is a Michigan-raised illustrator currently based in Columbus, Ohio. They work with both digital and traditional 2D illustration, and enjoy experimenting with mixed media traditional illustration. They have an Associates of Illustration degree from Macomb Community College in Michigan, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from the Columbus College of Art & Design.

WK’s art revolves around the fantastical. They are heavily inspired by classic fantasy, science fiction, and folklore from around the world. Their original works focus on emotional and story driven design, building characters and worlds with connections that feel truly alive. 

They have contributed to a small number of nonprofit and charity art zines and anthologies during their college career. Their work can be found in the Galactic Gourmet: Voltron Food Fanzine (2017), Spectrum: Voltron Fanzine (2017), The Gorgeous Man: Voltron Fanzine (2018), Wild Fyre: Voltron Fanzine (2018), and Stargazing: Voltron Fanzine (2018). They have also sold their work in Artists’ Alleys at a few Midwestern conventions, including Shutocon in Lansing, Michigan (2018) and Matsuricon in Columbus, Ohio (2016, 2018).
